The Brad Evans Foundation Scholarship

The 2004 Recipients

Brad's parents, Paul and Scottia, brothers and sisters-in-law, Morgan and Pamela, Matt and Julie, read the applications with great interest. Students accepted to Berkeley are, by definition, exceptional and to select one with the qualifications that exemplified Brad's spirit was not easy.
The Brad Evans Foundation Scholarship Committee
was so impressed with the applications this year that two scholarships
were awarded!

First
2004 Recipient

On Tuesday, June 1, 2004, the fourth Brad Evans Foundation Scholarship was awarded to Corona del Mar High School senior,
Zorbey Ozdilek

Congratulations, Zorbey!

Each applicant brings a wealth of special talents and abilities, but it was Zorbey who impressed tbe committee with his intelligence and his tenacity. His amazing story of coming to the U.S. from Turkey in 1997 knowing no English, and then accomplishing so much in academics and life, was so compelling that the decision was unanimous.

Zorbey is a remarkable young man who majored in Business Administration / Economics.

Second
2004 Recipient

On Monday, June 7, 2004, a special Brad Evans Foundation Scholarship was awarded to
Newport Harbor High School senior,
Doris Do

Congratulations, Doris!

Doris knows the value of family and hard work. She is focused and goes well beyond what is expected of her at home, at work, and in school. Berkeley was enriched by her presence.

Doris majored in science, with a specific field to be determined.
